Takaloo On The Attack
Media Report (May 1, 2004)
TAKALOO has vowed to do a demolition job on OSSIE DURAN to finally set up his clash with archrival WAYNE ALEXANDER. The Margate puncher bids to regain his crown when he challenges Duran for the Vacant WBU World Light-Middleweight title at the York Hall, Bethnal Green on Thursday 13 May. Tak almost got his showdown with Alexander which was originally scheduled for this date but the Croydon man withdrew from the fight with a knee injury.

Tak stormed, “When I’m in the ring with Duran, it’s going to be Alexander’s face that I see in front of me and I will smash it to bits. That’s how bad I want Alexander.”

“He’s been running from me and then running his mouth off. After I beat Duran I will close it for him once and for all. I can’t tell you how devastated I was when he pulled out of our May 13 fight. That was my opportunity to knock him out and retire him,”

“Then he goes and pulls out with another ‘injury’. I would have more respect for him if he just came out in public and said ‘look Tak, I’m scared to fight you and I don’t want to get knocked spark out’. That would hold up more than one of his injury excuses. They call me the ‘Milkman’ because I knock-out my opponents in a round but Wayne is the bottle job,”

“I can’t wait to get Duran out of the way and then knock out Alexander. I’m told that the fight will happen after this one (Duran) but it’s early day’s and it will give Alexander time to think up an excuse to get out of it. It’ s personal between him and me and it goes a lot deeper than professional rivalry. Alexander knows what he did and he will pay for it,” Finished Tak.

The undercard features Brixton’s Former British and Commonwealth Heavyweight DANNY WILLIAMS, the return of Horndon heavyweight prospect ‘BIG BAD’ JOHN McDERMOTT, Dagenham featherweight ace KEVIN MITCHELL, Camden super-bantamweight MARTIN POWER, Isleworth’s 2003 ABA Light-Welterweight Champion LEE BEAVIS, Walthamstow middleweight GOKHAN KAZAZ, Aremenian heavyweight BAGRAT O’HANYON and Mordon super-bantamweight LEE WHYATT complete the card.
