It's so damn nice and pleasing in every way to finally be able to say that Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao are truly set to meet (May 2nd). Go ahead, pinch yourself! It's true! In the negotiations that led to this epic fight being hammered out and announced, there was a lot of hush from team Mayweather's side. One such person that was low key and certainly staying away from the media's spotlight was Mayweather's trusty advisor, Leonard Ellerbe. With the fight now set, folks on both sides are now speaking to the media more freely. Shortly after the fight was announced, Ellerbe resurfaced and admitted that it was basically PACMAN OR BUST for Mayweather's next fight.

Speaking to Yahoo Sports, regarding the fight being made, Ellerbe stated to the publication: "Of course we're all very pleased and excited to have gotten this deal done."

At this point, I can only imagine that the whole sporting world is "pleased" and "excited" this dream match-up is set to finally go down.

Because The Money Team was very quiet during the negotiations, what none of us could have known was that Mayweather was insisting after his second battle with Marcos Maidana that the fight he wanted next was indeed Manny Pacquiao.

Confirming this, Ellerbe told the publication: "Floyd insisted from the very beginning that this fight had to happen. He took the initiative to go meet Manny at the basketball game and that played a big role. You also can't overlook the tireless efforts of Les Moonves (CBS Corp. CEO). With all of that, the deal finally came together."

As reported a few weeks back, Mayweather and Pacquiao bumped into one another at an NBA game - Mayweather visited Pacquiao later that evening in his hotel room where the two spoke face to face in private.
