Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez who vs. Alfredo 'El Perro' Angulo tonight live on a Showtime PPV card at the MGM Grand, will earn a minimum of $1.25 million, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Canelo stands to make more due to a contract he has with Golden Boy Promotuons that sees 80-20 split of profits in favor of Canelo. Angulo will make some good dough, earning $750,000 for his part tonight. For 'El Perro', this will be a career-high pay day.
Purses for Leo Santa Cruz vs. Cristian Mijares:
Santa Cruz will make $500,000 and
Mijareswill earn $92,000.
Jorge Linares vs. Nihito Arakawa - both fighters will earn $50,000
Ricardo Alvarez vs. Sergio Thompson:
Ricardo Alvarez, (Canelo’s older bro), will take a pay check of $100,000 and Sergio Thompson is making $50,000.
