Amir Khan confirms that team Manny Pacquiao has approached his team about a potential clash in Dubai sometime next year. In an interview with Omar Al Raisi (The National), Khan told the media publication that Pacquiao's boxing promoter, Bob Arum (Top Rank) had contacted his side for a fight versus Pacquiao in March or April at a venue in Dubai.
Regarding a possible showdown with Pacquiao, Khan confirmed that his side had been contacted by Arum. Khan told the publication: "Bob Arum has contacted my team to fight Manny Pacquiao around March or April in Dubai." Khan added: "Let’s see how that develops."
Khan was interested in a clash with Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr., but believes that the pound-for-pound champ is "running scared" and avoiding him.
With Mayweather now an afterthought, Khan has set his focus on fighting UK rival, Kell Brook and Manny Pacquiao in 2016.
