Oscar De La Hoya believes a Bernard Hopkins vs. Nathan Cleverly is a possibility and a fight that would capture the public's imagination.

Speaking on BBC's Radio Wales Sport, regarding a possible match-up featuring Hopkins vs. Cleverly, promoter De La Hoya stated: "That is a fight that would be very interesting to see. I am sure Nathan Cleverly would love to fight a legend like Bernard Hopkins."

De La Hoya went on to add: "Hopkins is willing to face anybody and Hopkins understands that Nathan Cleverly brings a lot to the table. He understands that Nathan Cleverly is a very dangerous fighter for him because of his age. Hopkins is going on 50, is still a machine and is still willing to fight the very best."
