Unbeaten (15-0 ) John Ryder faces British middleweight title holder Billy Joe Saunders (also sporting a perfect record w/ 18-0) at the Olympic Copper Box Arena on September 21st. In a recent interview by Frank Wiechula, Daily Express (see link to below), Ryder spoke out on which boxers inspire him. Names such as Chris Eubank and Prince Naseem Hamed and others.
Ryder tells the publication:
"I used to watch Eubank and Prince Naseem, the nights when I was allowed to stay up late. I loved them, I was seven, eight."
Ryder added: "
The 80s with Sugar Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran in America and later here we had Eubank and (Nigel) Benn. No one ducked each other, they all fought each other.”
