Oscar De La Hoya (Golden Boy Promotions) has his own set of paid 'boxing writers' who write for him under Ring Magazine... so perhaps it should come as no surprise that Doug Fischer of Ring Magazine is picking Golden Boy Promoted Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez over Floyd 'Money' Mayweather Jr. (*For the record, not all scribes working for De La Hoya have picked Canelo to win... and I am sure Fischer picked Alvarez for his own brilliant reasons and not to pucker up to his Boss.)
