According to reports now circulating, Nevada State Athletic Commission is confirming that "The One: Floyd Mayweather vs. Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez" holds the new record gate with $20,003,150. The old record was held by Floyd Mayweather's victory over Oscar De La Hoya which had a total live gate of $18,419,200.

Quoted on Golden Boy Promotions' website, Ring, the CEO for the company, Richard Schaefer stated: "It's definitely the highest-grossing pay per view of all time."

Schaefer. "There's a possibility that it could be the highest numbers of buys as well, but we're still collecting data. I don't want to make the statement that it's going to surpass the buys (2.5 million PPV buys) as well, unless I'm absolutely sure."

So regardless folks, bottom line... THE ONE pulled in some serious numbers. Will it beat out Mayweather vs. De La Hoya? We will have to wait and find out...
