So after losing his undefeated record to Marcos Maidana, does Adrien Broner have a rematch clause in the contract? According to Richard Schaefer (CEO for Golden Boy Promotions), he revealed to MaxBoxing.com that there is NO rematch clause, and although he feels it's a match he'd like to do again, he stressed both fighters had other options to mull over.
In Steve Kim's latest column for MaxBoxing.com,
Schaefer noted there is no rematch clause but added he has no problem with doing it again, stating: "I think it's a fight I would like to do a rematch and so, why not?"
Schaefer went on to add: "But there are other great fights and opportunities out there for Broner and for Maidana and who knows? Maybe Broner may want to move back down in weight."
