FX's "Lights Out" -Is it Any good?! Bottom line from Boxing Scribe Benz

As a fan of Boxing, I was reluctant to watch the first episode of FX's "Lights Out". Why? Because its been done to death and I am sick of boxing movies and related TV shows. That being said, I watched the first episode and checked out Patrick ''Lights'' Leary. (Played by Holt McCallany as seen in the picture on this page.)

Bottom line... YES! This show was brilliant and the acting was top notch. The writing, directing and filming was also beyond amazing. Hell, even Steve Farhood was awesome (but should we expect less?)

There is so much happening in the first episode, but you get a decent feel and it impacts every audience... not just boxing. There is something for everyone in this TV program. You quickly learn this is much more than a story about an Ex-Heavyweight Boxing Champ. This is the kind of life story everyone these days can relate to.

I don't want to say too much, but I promise you... this is a show you must check out. You will NOT regret it.

I can't wait until the next episode. This one is a winner!
