Manny Pacquiao is popular. Yes, the man who transcends the sport, makes it look good and gives Boxing some desperately needed attention, is one hot item on a global scale. Of course me telling you the Filipino icon is popular really means nothing unless I can back it up. Ok, so it's pretty damn easy to prove Pacquiao is popular. As easy as proving the Arctic is very damn cold in the Winter months, or that Fire is hot... or better yet, as easy as proving that the Justin Beiber Hairdo is a direct rip off from Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Ringo.

That being said, today on perhaps the hottest homepage on the internet, Yahoo.com (ranked number 4 by Alexa.com), trending at one point as high as number 3, was our man, Pacquiao. (See the complete top 10 trending list on this page.)

That is pretty damn impressive. In order to make the Yahoo top 10 trending list on any given day, the topic has to be very hot. Yahoo utilizes it's popular search engine to gauge who deserves to be named in the top 10. There is no way to cheat that system.

Pacquiao definitely deserves the recognition he is getting and certainly deserves the big YAHOO!
