Bob Arum knows how to speak and make his points clear. As a Boxing Promoter at his level in the game, you pretty much have to know how to talk and do it well. In a recent trip to the USA Today Headquarters in McLean, Va., Arum and his star player, Manny Pacquiao answered tons of questions and made plenty of hot statements.

Arum, who was at the Publication's Headquarters to help hype Pacquiao's May 7th fight against Shane Mosley, took some time out to discuss how over the last few years he has perused Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr.

In regards to the first time they tried to land a fight with Mayweather, Arum tells the publication: "Well, the Mayweather fight is a fight that we've been pursuing for two years. At first, there was an issue that was raised about why single out Manny in this drug testing business. That was a real slap in the face kind of thing."

In regards to the second time, Arum went on to add: "But then the second time around, we said, 'look, the hell with that,' as long as we can get Mayweather in the ring, we're taking that off the table. That's no longer going to be an issue. And he still wouldn't come to the table! Let's see what happens now that the kid (Mayweather) has legal difficulties. So, I'm sure that that's not on the top of his agenda. Hopefully he works through these legal problems and maybe as early as November we can put that fight together. But the point is, it's not on us. As far as I'm concerned, there are absolutely no issues."
