Recently quoted by ESPN, Boxing Promoter Oscar De La Hoya spoke out on how proud he is of "Vicious" Victor Ortiz. De La Hoya was impressed with Ortiz's victory last Saturday over Andre Berto. (Ortiz outpointed Berto.)

Quoted by ESPN in regards to the best part of the fight, De La Hoya stated: "The best part of the fight was he (Ortiz) told me, 'I made a lot of mistakes.'" De La Hoya went on to tell the online publication: "That's the best thing you can do, because he knows he has to go back to the gym and still learn more. He feels strong, explosive and has the right attitude."

De La Hoya went on to add that Ortiz is talking big names like Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. "He wants to fight the best," stated De La Hoya, adding: "He is talking about the Pacquiaos, the Mayweathers. He's talking about unifying titles. We will sit down with him and see what happens, but he wants to get right back in there. This is the Victor we all knew we had."
