Oscar De La Hoya Heartfelt special message left me in Tears

At a young age, Oscar De La Hoya lost someone very special in his life. He lost his Mother to Breast Cancer.

On Mother's day, De La Hoya did not forget his Mother. Although she is not with him anymore, she remains deeply in his heart.

On Mother's day, De La Hoya tweeted a very special message to his mother. To me it is very touching and compliments the characteristics of the kind of thoughtful and caring person that De La Hoya is.

Here is the touching message De La Hoya had for his Mom: "Happy mothers day to my mom who is up In heaven."I love you so much".

I really respect De La Hoya as one of the all time greats in boxing and one of my personal favorites. Posting a message to his mom for everyone to see on Mother's day only solidifies my feelings towards Golden Boy. I lost my Father at a young age, and I am sure many readers of mine have also suffered the same kind of loss. In this respect we are all brothers and sisters. Maybe it is because of my own loss of my Father, or maybe just the circumstance of reading De La Hoya's heartfelt words... but I choked up when I read his words. It didn't take long for me to have tears streaming down my face (And let me tell you... I can not remember the last time I cried.)

It is always good to take a time out and remember those who came before us and made us what we are today.

God Bless Oscar and his Mother. And God Bless my Dad... I miss you every day and love you so much!
