Initial reports indicate that Manny Pacquiao has beaten his previous Pay-per-view best against Oscar De La Hoya. That fight (from 2008) garnered 1.25 million ppv buys.

According to reports circulating in the media, Bob Arum's Top Rank Promotions believes the final tally for Pacquiao's defeat of Shane Mosley will bring in the neighborhood of 1.3 to 1.4 million certified pay-per-view buys. The PPV event was cross promoted on SHOWTIME and CBS.

Quoted in Las Vegas Review Journal in regards to the numbers expected from the Pay-per-view event, Arum stated: "We're very happy with CBS and Showtime. They were a great partner, and this is the biggest pay-per-view result in Manny's career."

The final Pay-per-view buy numbers are expected to be released sometime this week.
