Oscar De La Hoya
By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. - Who among us would not sell the shirt off their back for a cool $5 million dollars cash?  I mean with that kind of money, you can afford to give up a shirt and then go on to buy as many shirts as you want to replace it.  One such person who was offered that much money for a clothing item but turned it down, was Oscar De La Hoya.

In a recent tweet, Oscar De La Hoya posted: "8 years ago somebody offered 5 million dollars for my robe I fought Julio C. Chavez in. Couldn't do it,it's to personal." (sic)

He couldn't do it?  Someone, give me directions to where this magical robe is kept and see if that guy is still interested in buying it!  It must be nice to be so rich to be able to afford to turn down such an offer.  It must be even nicer to be able to offer someone $5 million for a damn worn towel! Who is crazier? The guy who offered 5 million for a Robe, or the guy who turned down the offer? Hell, I do not know, but I'll say this... Rich people are crazy! :)

Hey, I will say this in defense of De La Hoya... he earned his money by putting his life on the line in some pretty damn epic battles. That, I can respect! (And yes of course, all fun aside, I can respect that De La Hoya wouldn't sell the robe because of what it means to him.)
