(L) Rutina Wesley as Tara Thornton, (R) Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse - True Blood
Boxing use to be my main reason for keeping my monthly subscription to HBO. These days, Boxing is still my number one reason, but thanks to some amazing and hot shows only found on the Network, I now have three very good reasons to keep my subscription going.

My other two reasons are TV shows on HBO. "Game of Thrones", that ended it's first season last week, and the other is "True Blood", which premieres it's fourth season this coming Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT.

"Game of Thrones" proves to be simply amazing and it's my favorite show only after "True Blood". (There is a link below on this page to Steve Kim's review of Game of Thrones.)

"True Blood" quickly became my favorite midway through the first season. Every season after that has turned out to be better than the last. And trust me when I say, I thought the show peaked with season two... but to my amazement, season three kept on kicking ass. So I am excited for season four, and I am expecting it will be better than the last few seasons... yep, that is hard to imagine... but each year the show has gotten better and I suspect the same thing will happen in season four.

Yeah, the show is about Vampires, mind readers, fairies, werewolf and all the diabolic things that go bump in the night... but its not "TWILIGHT" (the movies) and as much as I love "Vampire Diaries", (TV show on the CW) it is not a carbon copy or a rip-off of "True Blood". It is for a much more mature audience. If you think you've seen all the vampire shows out there ... trust me when I tell you, "True Blood" shatters the mold... as does Anna Paquin playing the role of Sookie Stackhouse (I freaking Love you Anna... please Bill [Stephen Moyer and real life Hubby to Anna], don't bite me over it!) Rutina Wesley who plays Tara Thornton is also amazing. Anna and Rutina play strong women and their acting abilities just shine on the show.... so many great actors to name in this show. Seriously, I can not praise the writers, actors and film crew enough on this show. (And yes, Anna naked is just an amazing thing of beauty... if her acting wasn't enjoyable enough... you gotta see this beautiful woman naked... and she always shows off plently! I hope to see more on the gorgeous Rutina in the nude this year... but she left town at the end of season 3... hoping that doesn't last long! Sorry ladies for sounding like a pig for nudity... but can you honeslty blame me? I am just a simple man with eyeballs that don't lie to me.)

On this page you'll find a free HBO video (via Youtube) on the first 8 minutes of True Blood: Episode 1 of Season 4. Enjoy the first free 8 minutes and let it set the tone for Sunday nights big premiere.
