By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. - Saturday night's boxing match, Adrien Broner vs. Vicente Escobedo has come under threat of being cancelled. According to a report out by Ring TV (A Media outlet owned by Oscar De La Hoya), Escobedo's Manager has threatened to have his fighter pull out of this weekend's HBO main event because Broner weighed in on Friday at 133.5 lbs., which is over the agreed 130 pound limit.

Quoted by the publication, Rolando Arellano who represents Escobedo stated: "He's (Adrien) the champion, and he's got to make weight. That's not our problem. We're in his hometown and he's got all of the unfair advantages." Arellano went on to add that his side has fulfilled their obligations (Escobedo weighed in at the 130 lbs. limit) and hoped to work something out, stating: "So we'll see what we can work out."

The report further indicated that Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel (WBO president) has confirmed the fight will be allowed to go on, but Broner has lost his title at the scales.
