Marquez' Boxing trainer speaks out on Pacquiao Drug allegations

By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing - Is Juan Manuel Marquez' trainer, the legendary Ignacio
“Nacho” Beristain worried that Manny Pacquiao might be on some kind of
anabolic steroid ahead of their clash? The stright answer is no. In a recent
interview with MaxBoxing's very own Gabriel Montoya, Beristain not only
defended Pacquiao against doping allegations, he also admitted to having
big arguments with people over it.
Nacho who is
training Marquez for his thrid encounter with Pacquiao, set for
Saturday, November 12, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev., strongly
believes Pacquiao is a clean fighter not abusing any kind of anabolic
steroids and also had very high praise for the Filipino superstar.
“I
define Pacquiao as a great athlete, a pleasant person, humble,” said
Nacho to MaxBoxing. “He is a great fighter. I have had big arguments
with the people that say he uses anabolic [steroids]. I do not believe
that.”
That is a very strong endorsement from the man in
the other corner and it should carry weight to any and all. Nacho has a
super tight reputation in Boxing and that respect carries a lot of
