Floyd Mayweather Jr beats Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao out of the Gate

It truly does seem Oscar De La Hoya has the golden touch. As tickets for his upcoming December 6th battle against Manny Pacquiao went on sale Wednesday, the frenzy for tickets was simply amazing. Tickets to the highly anticipated bout sold out quickly.

According to a report by ESPN, Organizers have announced all 16,000 tickets to the event have sold out. The even which will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas now has officially
made a gate closing in on $17 million.

At 17 million, Oscar De La Hoya vs Manny Pacquiao is officially the second-biggest gate ever for boxing. The only fight to beat it was Oscar De La Hoya's 2007 fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. That gate brought in $18,419,200.
