In a recent interview conducted by Nick Giongco for the Manila Bulletin Online, Manny Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach has confirmed there is a strong possibility of Pacquiao facing Oscar De La Hoya in the Ring.

Quoted by Giongco, Roach stated: "I have been told that they (Golden Boy Promotions) are having a tough time getting (Floyd) Mayweather to sign for the rematch." Roach went on to add: "Oscar wants Manny."

Roach confirmed to the publication that De La Hoya is willing to move down in weight to 147 lbs. "Manny was about 145, 146 lbs the night he fought (Juan Manuel) Marquez," said Roach.

Oscar De La Hoya next fight is against Steve Forbes on May 3rd.
