Junior Witter ridicules Ricky Hatton

On May 10th, Junior Witter is set to defend his WBC light-welterweight title against Timothy Bradley in front of a nationwide audience. Witter is excited to have the British public see him in action and tells the BBC he still wants Ricky Hatton.

Quoted on the BBC, Witter stated in regards to his upcoming fight that the British public will get to see him in action and see for themselves the fighter Hatton has been avoiding: "The British public will now be able to see
the fighter who Ricky Hatton is avoiding," said Witter.

Witter added: "It will be great to showcase my talent in front of a nationwide audience [the card will be shown live on ITV1]."

Wiiter also discussed his WBC Belt, and ridiculed Hatton for never being able to win such a prestigious title. Witter stated: "I am defending my WBC title which is the most prestigious belt in boxing, and a title Hatton has never been able to win - in fact he got knocked out fighting for the WBC title in his last fight [a welterweight clash with Floyd Mayweather last December]."
