Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz is about to get Heavy

According to a report out by ESPN.com, the HBO undercard for Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz on June 28 will have some heavyweight action in the mix. ESPN reports that Promoter Bob Arum had been trying to pit Tye Fields against ex-champ Hasim Rahman. Unfortunately Rahman was not interest in that match so Fields will now be taking on Monte Barrett. Barret lost a decision to Rahman back in 2005.

Arum feels Barrett is the best opponent of Fields' career so far. Arum tells ESPN that when his promotional
company, Top Rank asked Rahman's manager Steve Nelson about facing Fields, not much interest was shown.

"When they said they'd rather fight [David] Haye or [Derric] Rossy, we never made a money offer," Arum said.

Arum went on to add: "We said fine and left it at that and made this fight. It's a step up for Fields. We'll see if he can fight. I really believe that I have something in Tye Fields. We'll soon see."
