Miguel Cotto Speaks: Couldn't care less about Floyd Mayweather Jr

According to a recent report out by the AP, Miguel Cotto not looking past his opponent on Saturday night, Alfonso Gomez. And Cotto certainly is not thinking about Floyd Mayweather Jr. these days. Cotto quoted by the Ap states that Mayweather Jr. isn't consuming his thoughts as he prepares for his fourth title defense. In fact Cotto couldn't care less.

Quoted by the Associated Press in regards to fighting Mayweather Jr., Cotto stated: "I'm in no hurry (to fight
Mayweather). If I have to be patient to face the guy the people and the press call the best fighter in the world, I can wait."

In regards to his training for his bout against Gomez this weekend, Cotto says he trains the same for every foe he faces. "I never think of Gomez in training," said Cotto, adding: "If he heard something, whatever it is, that is his problem, not my problem. We have to know we are prepared enough for anything any opponent can bring into the ring."
