Chuck Liddell vs Kimbo Slice? UFC President Speaks Out

There has been rumor rumblings in the internet world of Kimbo Slice vs. Chuck Liddell. Dana White, the President for the UFC in a recent phone interview said he would consider pitting Liddell against Slice.

Quoted on Deadspin, White stated: "If he [Kimbo] fought anybody that mattered, I would book that tomorrow." he said. White is not impressed with Slice's skills as a fighter and the opposition he has faced. White also dissed the EliteXC, who showcase Slice, as an organization that puts on "freak show bouts".

In regards to Slice's skills, White stated: "The fact is, Kimbo's not there yet. He would get destroyed. I heard he just got knocked out by Forrest Griffin last week in a sparring match after a kick to the head. "

White is also not impressed with Slice's recent victory over Tank Abbott. White ripped Abbott, stating: "Tank Abbott?! I mean, come on. That guy was a bad UFC fighter. A friend of mine said he was out at a bar the week before that fight and he saw Tank there drinking beers. He went up to him and was like 'Aren't you supposed to be fighting Kimbo soon?"

White discussed what it would take for him to take Slice seriously. "I'd take him [Kimbo] absolutely seriously — but, again, he hasn't beat anybody. In this sport, it's all about 'Who have you beat right now?" And he hasn't beat anbody," said White.
