Cuban Boxer Mario Kindelan set to retire this Month

On Tuesday the Cuban Boxing Federation announced, Mario Kindelan, Cuba's double Olympic boxing champion is to set retire later on this month on January 26.

Kindelan will retire at the Cuban National Championships which will occur in his hometown of Holguin.

At the Sydney Olympic games in 2000, Kindelan won the lightweight gold medals. Four years later at the Athens
Olympic games, Kindelan beat Britain's Amir Khan in the final. He would later lose to Khan the following year.

Kindelan has not fought since his defeat to Khan
