Excellent Pay-Per-View Numbers are in for Roy Jones Jr vs Tito Trinidad - Boxing

Roy Jones Jr. vs. Felix "Tito" Trinidad is just another example of how the sport of Boxing is Back, stronger than ever. The fight which many critics felt would not do so good at the Pay-Per-View Box Office has indeed ranked in a substatial amount of viewers.

According to HBO's Mark Taffet speaking with ESPN, reported that the Jones Jr. vs. Trinidad fight this past Saturday generated Half a Million dollars in pay-per-view subscriptions and $25 million in domestic television revenue.

The numbers relate to 300,000 cable subscriptions and 200,000 satellite buys, said Taffet. The numbers are expected to increase in the following months.

"The Jones-Trinidad fight exceeded our expectations both in and out of the ring," Taffet said on ESPN. "They proved that they still have a large, adoring fan base and they gave their fans their money's worth."
