Ricky Hatton is looking for a big fight as his next match has been earmarked for May 24 at the City of Manchester Stadium. As of now no less than 22 rivals have challenged Hatton.

Accordding to an exclusive report by Peter Spencer in the Manchester Evening News, it is believed that Team Hatton have now narrowed the list of 22 down to a potential list of four opponents.

Ray Hatton, Hatton's dad and trainer MEN Sport: “We said the next fight will be in Britain as a reward to his fans who have travelled to America and it's looking like being at City's ground at Eastlands with up to 50,000 fans and with big screens so everyone can see."

Ray went on to add: “We have been offered more money to fight in the early hours to suit American TV audiences but this will be a fight fought in English time."

In regards to what kind of undercard fans should expect, Ray told MEN: “We are working with another promoter to ensure a good undercard. As for Ricky's opponent, there have been Americans, Puerto Ricans, Mexicans and Brits looking to challenge him. That's all I want to say about it at the moment.”
