In a recent interview conducted by Ciaran Baynes for setantasports.com, Carl Froch is certain that Joe Calzaghe will defeat Bernard Hopkins when the two face off on April 19. However Froch also feels that had this fight happened 6 years ago, Hopkins would have annihilated Calzaghe.

Froch who is the number one contender for Calzaghe's WBC super middleweight title went to to tell setantasports that he'd love to fight Calzaghe, but doesn't seem as interested in a fight with Hopkins.

"If the winner’s Calzaghe I’d love to fight him," Froch told setantasports.com, adding: "Bernard Hopkins is a great fighter but he’s just past his best, he’s 43, he’s still doing what he does and doing it well but to me its not a very exciting fight.

Although Froch doesn't consider Hopkins as an exciting fighter, he does feel that Calzaghe vs Hopkins will be a good fight to watch.

"It’s a good fight and it will be good to watch. I think it will be Calzaghe on points but six years ago, Hopkins would have annihilated him. I really think he would have taken him to school."
