Famed ring announcer Michael Buffer will be on hand to ring in Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Ricky Hatton on December 8. Buffer has been the announcer for many of Hatton's fights. In a recent interview conducted by SkySports, Buffer gave his feelings on Hatton, stating Hatton, his Father and his crew are always a lot of fun to be around.

"Ricky's a great guy and his Dad and the whole crew he has around him are chatty and always a lot of fun to be with," Buffer told SkySports.com.

Buffer added: "The thing is, a lot of people don't realise that these fighters are fight fans themselves, so when the point comes in each of our careers where we meet each other, I'm excited to meet Ricky Hatton and he says he's excited to have me announcing his fight!

"It's like a mutual flattery society. It's a lot of fun, I enjoy that."

In regards to hatton's fans, Buffer stated: "His fans follow him everywhere and his last three fights have been here in the States. I did his last fight in the UK against Carlos Maussua in Sheffield, so I'm sort of used to it."

"But when I see the American fans, they're like 'what the heck is going on here?', with Blue Moon and his entrance. But I find it a lot of fun and quite exciting.

"It makes my job a lot easier. It makes it more interesting,
and most importantly, more fun."
