In a recent conference with the media to help hype Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Ricky Hatton set for December 8, Mayweather's trainer and Uncle, Roger Mayweather and personal advisor Leonard Ellerbe were on hand to answer questions from the media. When asked a hypothetical question, would Mayweather Jr. want a rematch with Hatton should he lose, Leonard responded with, "Ain’t no way in hell Ricky Hatton is going to beat Floyd." Roger was aked if he felt Hatton was over rated?

Reporter Gareth Davies asked, "So in the event that Ricky did beat Floyd, he would presumably want a rematch, then?"

Ellerbe responded by stating: "Well let me - this is Leonard, let me clear it up. Ain’t no way in hell Ricky Hatton is going to beat Floyd, so we can end that question right here."

Another reporter, Francis Walker asked Roger if he felt that Ricky Hatton was over rated?

Roger answered the question with: "I ain’t going to say he’s overrated, but he ain’t ready where Floyd is going to be. Floyd ain’t going to make his legacy by whooping Ricky Hatton next."

Roger added:
"Ricky Hatton will make a legacy if ever whoop Floyd. Floyd is all ready considered the best fighter in the world, you can’t go no (expletive) higher than that,
can you?"
