According to a report out by Gareth A. Davies and published for The telegraph.co.uk, the psychological war between the Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather Jr. has moved up a notch yesterday. Davies reports the Las Vegas Police Department is bringing in extra armed security to watch over Hatton while the fighter is staying in his rented house in the suburbs.
On top of the extra security, Hatton's management team have also been warned to get a food taster.
Davies reports there are fears in the desert city where gambling stakes are high, that Hatton could fall foul of fanatical Mayweather Jr. fans who could be out to upset him before the fight.
Hatton is set to face Mayweather Jr on December 8 in Las Vegas and can be seen on pay-per-view on HBO in the States and on Sky Box Office in Britain.
