Amir Khan made light work out of Graham Earl at the Bolton Arena. Khan, celebrated his 21st birthday with an amazing win over the former Commonwealth lightweight holder. It took just over one minute for Khan to have his way with Earl. The stop came at a time of 1.12mins.

Earl hardly landed single a punch as Khan handed him his third defeat in his career.

Entering the ring in sparkling shorts, Khan lived up to glitzy billing with a simply scintillating flurry of punches which Earl could not stand.

Weighing in at 9st 8lb, Khan took little time in attacking Earl. Earl tried to stay low to keep away from Khan's reach advantage, but Khan took full advantage of the situation with rapid punches that found their target.

Earl fell under Khan's constant barrage of pressure and hit the canvas with 3 seconds left in the opening minute. Earl managed to make it off the canvas and got a standing count of eight.

Earl seemed to never recover from hitting the canvas. Khan continued delivering his arsenal and landed more punches on Earl.

The referee had seen enough and to step in to end the fight at 1.12 mins in the
first round.
