Joe Calzaghe is making waves these days as he rides high on his growing popularity. After his stunning unanimous decision victory over Mikkel Kessler, Calzaghe hopes to be in America fighting Bernard Hopkins next. Calzaghe also plans on being states side and ringside when Ricky Hatton takes on Floyd Mayweather Jr on December 8.

Quoted in the Mirror UK, Calzaghe stated in regards to Hatton's upcoming fight: "I will be there cheering him on and
I know that Ricky can do it."

Calzaghe added: "It will be a great end to the year if he can go out there and do the business. The whole of Britain will be behind him."

In regards to a possible match up with Hopkins, Calzaghe said: "I'll beat Hopkins anywhere. I'll knock the guy out - if he has the courage to fight me that is."

"Madison Square Garden is the Mecca of boxing so if he wants me to fight him there I would be more than happy to do so. Every sportsman wants to take on the challenges that they only expect to find at the peak of their profession and I am no different."
