Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. on what he thinks of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez

By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. Recently Boxing's legendary Julio Cesar Chavez (Sr.) spoke to ESPN Deportes on an assortment of hot topics in boxing. When the interview shifted to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the reired boxer gave his feelings, stating "Canelo' hasn't fought anyone of worth and thinks he should face off against Austin Trout to prove his worthyness for a battle against Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr..

Speaking to ESPN, Julio César Chávez who is considered the greatest fighter ever to come out of Mexico, had this to say of fellow Mexican fighter, Alvarez: "Canelo is a young, strong kid with a lot of ability, but he has not fought anyone."

Chávez went onto add:" I think he should fight with Austin Trout, who just beat Miguel Cotto, to prove that he's ready for a fight with Floyd Mayweather."
