The Real Roy Jones Jr. is on his way Back
By Johnny Benz (July 31, 2006)
Winless in his last three outings, Roy Jones Jr returned to his winning ways defeating Prince Badi Ajamu with a twelve round unanimous decision to win the NABO light heavyweight title. The real Roy Jones Jr showed up and treated fans to his old ways of looking pretty and dominating the rounds.

Prince Badi Ajamu gave Jones Jr a tough first round, but after the first round it was all Jones Jr and Jones never looked back. At the end of twelve rounds all three scored Jones' first win in 32 months 119-106.

Jones gave himself a "C" grade for the win.

"The champ is on the way back, baby," a beaming Jones said after the fight. "Don't pay attention to what people say."

"I wanted to see if my reflexes were still there," Jones added. "I wanted to see if I could put my hands down and not get caught, do all the things people say I shouldn't do. Do the things I used to do.

"After tonight, I realize I can do anything I want to."

"He came out early and tried to catch me... just like Tarver did," Jones said. "And I took his best stuff."
