Amir Khan
With Floyd Mayweather Jr. officially retiring from the sport, Amir Khan who had hoped to face him, is left with some decent alternatives. Rumors of fights with Shane Mosley and Ruslan Provodnikov are just rumors to Khan.

At this time, Khan has gone on record via Sky Sports News HQ, that his team is negotiating a fight with Manny Pacquiao's team. It's a fight that Khan believes is likely to happen. He also told the publication that fights against Mosley and Provodnikov are just rumors.

Regarding a fight vs. Pacquiao, Khan told the media publication: "We are working on that fight, we are speaking to Bob Arum (Pacquiao's promoter)."

Should the fight come off, Khan predicts the showdown will happen early in the next year.

Even if a Pacquiao fight fails to materialize, Khan has been linked to other fighters that certainly would be a good draw. There is always the rematch with Danny Garcia and the domestic battle with Kell Brook. It's safe to assume that Pacquiao is a bigger draw and money maker for Khan, but Garcia and Brook would make for decent pay days and most definitely would interest the fans.

The real prize at this time however is obviously a match against Pacquiao.

What makes this match-up interesting could be the fact that Khan was once trained by Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach. While being trained by Roach, Khan shared many sparring rounds with Pacquiao - Khan has a unique insight as to how Pacquiao operates; as well as a good understanding on how Roach trainers his fighters.

Khan still isn't ruling out a future fight with Mayweather. "I can't see him retiring," said Khan who told the publication that feels Mayweather will comeback out of retirement for a 50th fight and further believes that Mayweather will pick him for his return bout.
