By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. - According to reports, Ricky Hatton has broken a record with 18,000
boxing tickets being sold for his comeback at the Manchester
Arena. That number of tickets were sold in a mere 48 hrs span after
going up on sale. The amount of tickets sold, beat all previous boxing
ticket sales records at the Manchester Arena... outstripping names like
Mike Tyson and David Haye.
So, no matter what you think about Hatton making a comeback... one thing is for sure, the fans are pleased.
Quoted
by the media in regards to the quick sell of tickets, Hatton stated:
"It’s incredible how quickly the tickets have been selling. I want to
say a huge thanks to everyone who has supported my return to the ring,
whether that’s by buying tickets or by the lovely messages of support
I’ve received."
