De La Hoya vs Pacquiao and Hatton vs Malignaggi - Who will be the Last Man Standing?
By Johnny Benz, DoghouseBoxing (Oct 31, 2008)
With Ricky Hatton getting set to take on Paulie Malignaggi on November 22nd and Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar De La Hoya on December 6th, one can't help but to think of the possible match-ups this could set up.

Pacquiao certainly is no coward, calling out the likes of both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Ricky Hatton. Pacquiao has made no secrets on his feelings of wanting to fight both of them. With Mayweather Jr. still officially retired, a fight with Hatton seems to be the next hot ticket.

Of course Pacquiao has to get by De La Hoya first, and that certainly will not be an easy task.

De La Hoya has also talk openly about wanting to fight Hatton. If De La Hoya defeats Pacquiao, then I am sure Hatton will be on top of De La Hoya's short list.

Let's not forget the other man in all this, Pauli Malignaggi. If Malignaggi defeats Hatton, then he will have a strong case to present to the winner of De La Hoya vs Pacquiao.

So there you have it folks. A few combinations of great fights that could possibly occur after the winners are finalized. The only thing, or should I say person who could throw a monkey wrench in to the picture would be Mayweather Jr... if and when he chooses to end his retirement.
