This coming Saturday night, Roy Jones Jr. will have his focus on Joe Calzaghe The two fighter finaly meet in New York's famed Madison Square Garden. You can catch the action live on HBO-PPV.

In a recent Interview with Jones Jr., sent to us here at DoghouseBoxing, Jones Jr. discussed many topics, including Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins who recently defeated Kelly Pavlik has been calling out Jones Jr. When asked why he did not want to fight Hopkins, Jones Jr. blamed Hopkins for not really wanting
the fight.

In regards to why he won't fight Hopkins, Jones Jr. stated: "Because he does not want to fight me even though he keeps saying he wants to fight me and that’s not going to get it done. I don’t have time to wait for Bernard Hopkins. I already beat Bernard Hopkins so why would I want to fight him again?"

Jones Jr. went on to add that it's been years now that Hopkins has been calling him out, but it's not his fault a fight with Hopkins has not come off. Jones Jr. stated: "If he wanted to fight me, that would be one thing, but he’s been saying he’s wanted to fight me for the last five years. Nothing has been done about but that’s not my fault. That would be like me telling you that I dream of being heavyweight champion but I never do anything about it. So I’m going to sit here and talk about something that is never going to happen."

Jones Jr. went on to add: "So he can talk about whoever he is going to fight next and I couldn’t care less."
