The choice for most is between American fighter, Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. and the icon from the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao. So who is number one? Well according to Boxing News Online (UK Publication), in their latest update, the number one welterweight on the face of the planet is none other than the man who hails from General Santos City, Philippines, Manny Pacquiao. "Money" Mayweather who these days is based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, is ranked 2nd.

The full top ten welterweights as ranked by Boxing News Online is as follows... In 3rd spot, Timothy Bradley, followed by Josesito Lopez in 4th.

5th spot is held by Victor Ortiz with Andre Berto coming in 6th. 7th spot is reserved for Kell Brook and 8th place goes to Devon Alexander.

Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero takes 9th place and rounding off the top 10 is Paulie Malignaggi.
