Oscar De La Hoya is No Bloody Chicken! But he does Lay Golden Eggs!

Although I am picking Manny Pacquiao to defeat Oscar De la Hoya on December 6th when the two finally meet, I am certainly not counting out De La Hoya. It's been a hard fight for me to pick a winner simply because De La Hoya is my favorite fighter.

De La Hoya is amazing, and has proven time and time again just how skillful and dangerous he can be inside the ring. He has yet to show signs that he is a shot fighter, and has amassed a career against many of the top
fighters in the game.

There is no Chicken in De La Hoya. Anyone who calls De La Hoya a "chicken" is stuck in the 90's and needs to get with the bloody program. If De La Hoya was a Chicken, then he'd be the Chicken who lays Golden Eggs (because look at all the fighter's lining up for a piece of the wealth and fame)... but let's face it, there is no Chicken in De La Hoya.

So why am I not picking De La Hoya to beat Pacquiao? Simple. Because doing so would mean I was picking the outcome with my heart, and not my brain.

Don't get me wrong, of course I like Pacquiao. He too is amazing and scary with the skills. I am giving the edge to Pacquiao because of his younger age, his hunger to be the best and his coach, Freddie Roach. Roach trained De La Hoya recently when De La Hoya fought and dropped split decision to Floyd Mayweather Jr. He knows De La Hoya in ways that can only help Pacquiao in training. I think Roach will be a key factor in a Pacquiao victory.

Win or lose, I am still going to be a fan of De La Hoya's. I certainly do not think the fight is a lost cause for De La Hoya. It will be exciting and action packed. I'll be watching, and I am sure I will be enjoying what I see. De La Hoya and Pacquiao in the same ring together... I AM THERE!
