Ricky Hatton on why he won't buy a certain American Car

I love cars as much as I love the sport I cover, so any time I come across any information on boxers and cars in the same breath, I check it out. In a recent Diary entry by Ricky Hatton and published by Sky Sports, Hatton who is in Las Vegas training for his upcoming fight with Paulie Malignaggi, spoke of an encounter he had with a customised Shelby Mustang while promoting the fight.

This past Sunday, Hatton went to do a photo-shoot behind the wheel of a Shelby Mustang for promotional
purposes. Hatton writes about the encounter with the hot vehicle in his most recent fight diary blog.

Hatton speaking on his encounter with the Ford Mustang, writes: "Sunday was another lie-in and then down to The Strip to do a photo-shoot to promote my fight. I got to sit behind the wheel of a customised Shelby Mustang, which I am told is a classic car over here." Hatton went on to add that even though the car is a classic, the poor fuel economy will keep him from buying one. "It may well be (a classic), but at 10 miles per gallon I wont be getting one of those!" wrote Hatton.

Hatton vs. Malignaggi will take place on the 22 nd of this month at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
