Ricky Hatton vs Paulie Malignaggi Off!? Hatton speaks Out! - Boxing

Rumors in boxing often spread like wild fire, and the latest rumor has been doing just that. Latest rumor apparently comes out of New York, claiming Ricky Hatton vs Paulie Malignaggi is off due to a Fat overweight Hatton.

Hatton who has been known to struggle with his weight, according to the rumor is said to be so overweight he can not make the weight limit for his bout with Malignaggi.

Upon hearing the rumor, Hatton had a good laugh. Hatton through his online diary at Sky Sport confirms the rumor is just that, a rumor. There is no truth to the rumor as Hatton is in excellent shape and enjoying his time in training camp.

Hatton amazed at the rumor, writes in his Diary blog: "I had a good laugh today when I got a phone call asking me if my fight is still on. It seems that somebody had been spreading rumors in New York over the weekend that my fight was off due to me being unable to make weight." Hatton went on to add that the fight is still on. "For the record I am well on track, 147lbs with two weeks to go. No problems," wrote Hatton.

Hatton vs. Malignaggi takes place on November 22nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
