Ricky Hatton is very confident ahead of this Saturday's showdown against Paulie Malignaggi. Hatton's confidence seems to have large part transpired with what he credits to be an excellent training camp with his new trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr.

Mayweather Sr. is highly respected in the boxing world for being one of boxing's all time best trainers. Hatton believes Mayweather Jr. will be key in getting Hatton back to his best.

Recently quoted on Sky Sports in regards to Mayweather Sr. Hatton stated to the publication: "All these new things I'm learning (from Mayweather Sr.), these new training methods, are just going to add to what I had in the first place." Hatton went on to explain why he picked Mayweather Sr. as his new trainer. "When it came to picking a new coach, I looked at my recent performances and it was just crash, bang, wallop, Ricky Hatton trying to steamroller everyone," said Hatton.

In regards to his choice, Hatton believes that he picked the right man for the job, stating: "I thought; 'what exceptional coach can I pick now to slow me down, get me back to that boxing?' I think I've picked the best man in the world."

Ricky Hatton faces Paulie Malignaggi this Saturday, November 22, only on HBO The highly anticipated fight is set to take place At The MGM Grand, Las Vegas, NV.
