Jermain Taylor wants Joe Calzaghe: Taylor Speaks

Jermain Taylor's name is back in the spotlight thanks to his latest victory. This past Saturday, Taylor defeated Jeff Lacy by unanimous decision. Taylor is hoping to move on to bigger challenges, like a fight against Joe Calzaghe.

Taylor, quoted by Chris Givens of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, says he is willing to fight anyone they put in front of him, but admits a fight against Calzaghe would be good. Taylor would also like the fight against Calzaghe to take place on American soil. Taylor tells the publication: “I will fight whoever they want me to. If they put Joe in

front of me, then OK. I don’t know about going to Wales, though. He can come here.”

Although Taylor wants Calzaghe on American territory, his promoter Lou DiBella is more than willing to fly Taylor to Britian to face Calzaghe. Also quoted by Givens, DiBella stated: “If he (Calzaghe) wants us, we’re on an airplane to Wales.Joe’s the man.”
