Oscar De La Hoya vs Manny Pacquiao is the must see event of the year. Things are blistering hot in terms of hype and anticipation. One of the best parts of the promotion has come from Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach.

Roach has been on absolute fire, cracking funny jokes and ribbing team De La Hoya. It brings a smile to your face each day to read the latest from Roach.

In the latest quotes from Roach, he tells De La Hoya, “Tell Oscar not to worry, the fight WILL end in a knockout. On December 6, Oscar’s going to think he’s back in the 1930’s when Manny airmails him into The Great Depression.”

Roach didn't stop there. The laughter just keeps rolling with Roach. Roach ribs De La Hoya some more, stating: “I can see when the paperback version of Oscar’s autobiography comes out. It will begin by paraphrasing the opening line of Moby Dick. Only instead of starting with ‘Call me Ishmael,' it will be 'Call me Ishtar,’ one of the biggest box office flops in motion picture history. Mark my words he will flop too. Oscar can’t pull the trigger anymore. Losing all that weight doesn’t impress me."

Roach, also brought out the Twiggy-Bomb again, stating: "Twiggy is going to find out that looking the part is not equivalent to acting the part, a lesson Muhammad Ali learned when he fought Larry Holmes."

Roach has been an added breath of fresh air to an already excellent promotion of this fight. His jibes at the De La Hoya team have been funny and witty. Makes me want to see more and hear more from Roach.

De La Hoya has great trainers in Nacho Beristain and Angelo Dundee.... but he needs a mouth like Floyd Mayweather Sr. to compete with the "Wildcard" Tongue!
