Only a few days left until the biggest fight of the year. If you've been living under a rock, you could be forgiven for not knowing that this Saturday, Oscar De La Hoya takes on Manny Pacquiao. At $54.95 to purchase this Pay-Per-view, you could also be forgiven for not wanting to part with that kind of money. However, there is a solution, or at least one that saves you some green.

Let's face it, it is a Pay-Per-View that you do not want to miss out on. You don't want to read about the results
later, or catch some hightlight reel. You won't want to be clueless at the water cooler when you return to work. So what's the solution? Drink Beer. That's right, drink beer. Drink Cerveza Tecate to be exact. Here is why...

Heineken USA import Cerveza Tecate is offering fans a $20 rebate that can be applied to a subscriber's cable bill. Cerveza Tecate in co-operation with De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions is offering Consumers who purchase a 12-pack of Tecate in one of 4,500 participating retail outlets a rebate of $20 to use towards paying off their cable bill.

Look, don`t kid yourself! You were going to buy beer anyway. Who doesn't on fight night?! And you know you were going to buy this Pay-Per-View.... even if it was going to be a last minute purchase. There are a few ways at looking at the rebate. You can look at it as, buy the Pay-Per-view...get a free case of beer, or Buy the beer and get the Pay-Per-View for $34.95 instead of the $54.95. Either way you win big! There is no losers here! (At least not on your end.)

If you are like me, you buy beer, you watch the fight. Its always been the way to go, and it's not like your going to change that. So the way I am looking at it, this is one of the cheapest Pay-Per-View events in a long time for boxing. I can't think of a bigger fight that was cheaper than this. Can you? Didn't think so.

This weekend, take advantage of the excellent offer De La Hoya's Promotional team and Heineken are bringing us. They know the economy sucks (who doesn't?) and are doing what they can to help the fans. Now, that's not only smart... but it's also a very nice gesture. So when the bell rings on Saturday night to start the fight, raise your Tecate with me and cheer this fight on! After all, thanks to the rebate... this is one Cheap ass Pay-Per-View!

Update: Please Note Coca-Cola is offering rebates that can further reduce the price of this event to a mere $4.95!
