Oscar De La Hoya sent to Hospital; De La Hoya speaks on Boxing Future

After suffering a dramatic and devastating 8th round TKO defeat to Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya was not present at the post fight press conference. The reason De La Hoya did not make the conference was because he went to the Hospital for observation. The LA Times has reported that De La Hoya has left the hospital with no serious injuries.

Quoted by the New York Daily News in regards to his future, De La Hoya stated: "My heart still wants to fight, that's for sure.

De La Hoya went on to add: "But when your physical doesn't respond, what can you do? I have to be smart and make sure I think about my future plans."

If De La Hoya retires or not, one thing is forsure, he doesn't need the money. Its been reported that De La Hoya made $20 million, while Pacquiao made $6 million for their part in Saturday's fight.
