After defeating Oscar De La Hoya by way of 8th round TKO this past Saturday, Manny Pacquiao has a lot of fights he can look at. One name that keeps popping up is Floyd Mayweather Jr. Although Mayweather Jr. is retired from the sport, there is hope that he will return.

Pacquiao quoted by the Grand Rapids Press, in regards to a fight against Mayweather Jr. stated: "Well, it's possible. You know, it's possible to make happen, that fight. It depends on my promoter negotiating with other promoters."

Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter feels that Pacquiao can beat any man out there, and would need to analyze and discuss with his team a fight with Mayweather Jr. before making any decisions. In regards to a fight with Mayweather Jr., Arum, stated: "I don't know. I have to analyze it, I have to talk to Freddie. I mean, one thing I know is my limitations. And my limitations are I'm not Bruce Trampler and I'm not Freddie Roach. I listen. That's what makes me the good promoter that I am, because I know that, basically, I don't know s-- when it comes to technical aspects of the fighting."
